Hinter Bedroom Eyes verbirgt sich der aus dem kleinen Örtchen Föllinge stammende Jonas Jonsson und der junge Schwede zeigt sich auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Popsong als recht ausgeschlafen.
"The Long Wait Champion" entstand zusammen mit Herman Söderström (The Cardigans, Hello Saferide) in dem analog gehaltenen Studio Ocean Sound Recordings, das in einem kleinen Bootshaus auf der norwegischen Insel Giske untergebracht ist. Heraus kam dabei ein herrliches, Melodie-trunkenes Popalbum, das den tanzbaren Elektro-Pop von The Postal Service mit orchestralem Pomp und Morrissey Grandezza verbindet.
